With approximate 100,000 students the University of Naples Federico II is one of the largest educational institutions in Europe. The research group in Science and Mathematics Education has been involved for decades in teacher training as well as national and international research and innovation projects. With partners from Europe, Israel and South America, the research group has participated in FP6 and FP7 projects such as PENCIL (Permanent European Resource Centre for Informal Learning) and TRACES (Transformative Research Activities: Cultural difference and Education in Science).
